Jacqueline Hinton
Studio Owner & Lead Teacher
Jacqueline Hinton is the founder and owner of Good Body Pilates Studio, a Latina-owned boutique Pilates studio in Santa Monica where movement, expertise, and community come together. With over 20 years of experience, Jackie works with everyone from dancers and athletes to busy adults, helping clients build strength, improve alignment, and develop a deeper connection to their bodies through thoughtful, intelligent movement.
Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Jackie began her movement career in dance, earning a BFA in Dance from the University of Texas at Austin before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a professional performance career in film, television, stage, and contemporary dance. Over the course of her career, she performed internationally with contemporary dance companies including Clairobscur Dance Company and Mixed eMotion Theatrix, as well as working extensively as a freelance performer throughout Los Angeles, New York, Europe, Africa and beyond. Her years as a professional dancer continue to inform her eye for movement, precision, artistry, and body awareness in the Pilates studio today.
In 2006, Jackie completed her comprehensive Pilates certification through the PhysicalMind Institute under Maria Leone at Bodyline LA. PhysicalMind was one of the pioneering Pilates teacher training programs in the United States and was developed in collaboration with first-generation Pilates elder Eve Gentry, blending classical Pilates principles with biomechanics, movement science, and intelligent teaching methodology. That lineage and philosophy continue to shape Jackie’s approach today.
Jackie’s teaching style is rooted in precision, clarity, and meeting people where they are. She believes Pilates is a practice and is passionate about helping clients move with greater strength, confidence, awareness, and ease. Whether teaching a private session, duet, or small group class, Jackie creates an environment where clients feel supported, challenged, and truly seen.
In addition to running the studio, Jackie is also the founder and CEO of Good Citizen, the first Pilates lifestyle brand to introduce personal Pilates loops to the market. Her work has been featured in British Vogue, Pilates Style Magazine, Pilates Anytime, and VoyageLA.
In January 2026, Jackie expanded Good Body Pilates Studio, Inc. with the addition of Pilates Eagle Rock, continuing her mission of creating welcoming, expert-led Pilates spaces rooted in thoughtful movement, community, and high-quality instruction.
Beyond the studio, Jackie is deeply committed to giving back to the local community through free Pilates events, wellness classes, and community movement initiatives throughout Santa Monica and Los Angeles, including regularly offering complimentary public classes at Wellness & Waves at the Santa Monica Pier. She believes movement should be both transformative and accessible, and that Pilates can be a powerful tool for connection, wellness, and community care.
Jackie and her husband are longtime Santa Monica residents and active members of the local wellness and small business community.

Frances P.
Studio Teacher
Meet Frances, one of our most experienced and beloved teacher here at Good Body Pilates. With nearly 20 years in the Pilates world, Frances brings a deep well of knowledge, intuition, and care to every session she teaches. She has a true gift for working with all ages and body types, and she creates a space where everyone feels welcome and supported.
Originally from England, Frances started her career as a nurse at Guy’s Hospital in London. Her passion for helping others has always been at the core of everything she does. What was supposed to be a six-week trip to the U.S. turned into a life-changing move and over the years she’s worn many hats, from stylist to location scout to commercial producer.
Frances found Pilates during her first pregnancy and quickly experienced how it strengthened her pelvic floor and supported her body through labor and recovery. After her second daughter was born, she loved it so much she got a Reformer for home and never looked back.
She was certified through BASI (Body Arts and Science International) in 2006 under the mentorship of Rael Isacowitz, and she’s continued her education ever since deepening her knowledge of injury recovery, joint health, scoliosis, and more.
Frances’s sessions are smart, thoughtful, and often filled with a bit of humor. She meets you exactly where you are and helps you reconnect to your strength, one movement at a time.
Lisa H.
Studio Teacher
Meet Lisa, a passionate guide, an inspiring educator, and a rising star in the Pilates world.
Lisa’s journey into Pilates began as a personal quest to navigate joint issues that arose after years of ballet, volleyball, and tennis. What started as a way to support her physical health during college quickly became something deeper, a practice that offered strength, stability, and grounding during life’s most challenging moments, including her mother’s battle with cancer.
Now, Lisa brings that same sense of purpose and resilience to every client she teaches. Whether she’s leading a group class or working one-on-one, Lisa is known for her upbeat energy, approachable teaching style, and the genuine care she shows each person who walks into the studio.
With a degree in math education and a master’s in education policy, Lisa is a natural teacher. She has a gift for making movement make sense, breaking down Pilates principles in a way that’s engaging, empowering, and tailored to each individual. Her goal? To help you feel stronger, more confident, and more connected to your body.
Outside the studio, Lisa continues to grow her practice and deepen her knowledge, staying curious and inspired. For Lisa, Pilates isn’t just exercise, it’s a lifelong journey of discovery and transformation.
Come take a class with Lisa and experience the joy, clarity, and care she brings to every session.
Sarah R.
Studio Teacher
Sarah is a STOTT Pilates certified teacher with a thoughtful, science-minded approach to movement and a genuine passion for helping people feel better in their bodies. Born and raised in Yuma, Arizona, Sarah originally built her career in the Food & Agriculture industry before an unexpected (and perfectly timed) introduction to Pilates after graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo during the height of the global pandemic.
It was through Pilates that Sarah discovered a leg length discrepancy finally shedding light on the chronic lower back pain she had experienced since her teenage years. Experiencing firsthand how targeted, intentional movement could create real change in her body sparked a deep curiosity about anatomy, alignment, and rehabilitation, and ultimately inspired her to share the benefits of Pilates with others.
Sarah brings a calm, encouraging presence to her instruction and is especially passionate about understanding how the body moves, adapts, and heals. Her eagerness to learn has her looking toward a future in physical therapy, with a five-year goal of earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She hopes to blend her Pilates background with clinical knowledge to create inclusive, supportive programs that benefit clients both physically and mentally.
When she’s not in the studio, you’ll likely find Sarah soaking up the sunshine, longboarding, rollerblading, hiking, or simply enjoying time by the beach. Her love for movement, curiosity about the body, and grounded energy make her a wonderful guide for clients at every stage of their Pilates journey.
