YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ENERGY YOU BRING INTO GOOD BODY PILATES STUDIO.
RESERVE RESPONSIBLY:
Good Body Pilates is an appointment-based boutique Pilates studio, and responsible reserving is imperative to keep classes running smoothly for everyone. Only reserve classes that you fully intend to take. This reduces class cancellations, opens more spots for all students and helps the studio serve our clients in the best way possible.
ARRIVE PROMPTLY:
We value everyone’s time at Good Body Pilates Studio, and we start all privates, duets, and group classes on time. Please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled session to allow yourself enough time to set up equipment, settle in, and warm up. Being on time ensures you’re fully prepared for class and allows the session to flow smoothly without disrupting others. Late arrivals will not be admitted out of respect for the instructor and participants' experience. Please no visitors, family members, or other distractions during class.
LATE ARRIVALS:
Arriving late is disruptive to fellow students and the instructor. It’s important at Good Body Pilates Studio to keep a focused energy in the class throughout the entire 55-minute session. It’s also important that clients are properly warmed up and ready to progress into the next exercise safely. Clients arriving for a private, duet or class after the start time will not be admitted, will forfeit their session price and will be considered a “late cancellation” subject to fees.
If you are not physically present in the studio at the start of a group class and a standby client is waiting to be admitted into the class, the student who is physically present at the start of the class will get the spot and you will forfeit your class reservation. Should this occur, there is no class forfeiture or fee since the class is now full.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
In accordance with respecting the time of both our instructors and our fellow students, Good Body Pilates Studio firmly enforces our 24 hour cancellation policies. Instructors are paid for every reservation. If you cancel within the 24 hour period before your scheduled session or class, it does not allow sufficient time to book another client in your spot. We appreciate your understanding. Please familiarize yourself with the policies listed below.
The best and easiest way to change/cancel your reservation is by going into your fitDEGREE account online or via the app. Log into fitDEGREE, click on SCHEDULE, click on the name of the class you wish to cancel and click CANCEL. You may also message us through the fitDegree app email the studio at goodbodypilatesstudio@gmail.com or call/text the studio at (424) 844-0257 to schedule, cancel, or reschedule.
• Only call the studio if you are unable to email or cancel your reservation online: (424) 844-0257. Please make note of this number and please do not call or text any instructor’s cell phones to schedule, cancel, let us know you are running late, or to reschedule privates, duets, or classes.
• Clients are responsible for ensuring Good Body Pilates Studio has your current email and mobile contact information in order to receive reservation and wait-list notifications.
• Clients are responsible for managing their own group class schedules, including reserving, canceling and wait-listing.
• Reformer Classes: Pilates Reformer classes must be cancelled through the fitDEGREE app within 24 hours of the class start time to avoid penalty and/or forfeiture of the class. If the reservation is not cancelled in advance of the 24-hour window, the class will be deducted from your class pack.
• Group Class Wait-list: If you’ve placed yourself on a wait-list and a spot opens for the class, you will receive a message notification through the fitDEGREE app notifications giving you the option to accept or decline the spot. Upon acceptance, you are responsible for honoring the reservation. If you’re on the wait-list for a morning class, please check right away in the morning to see whether you’ve been added to the class to avoid a late/no show fee, or to open that spot up for another client. Good Body Pilates Studio is not responsible for managing your schedule; be mindful when signing up for classes/wait-lists on the same day.
• Private & Duet Sessions: All Private & Duet Sessions must be cancelled through the fitDEGREE app within 24 hours of the appointment time to avoid forfeiture of your session. Canceling your appointment within the 24 hour window and requesting to reschedule for a future date is still considered a late cancel as your instructor has set that time aside for you, and you will forfeit your session.
INSTRUCTORS
Instructor assignments are subject to change without prior notice.
ADVANCED PAYMENT REQUIRED:
All sessions and classes must be prepaid on our website or through the fitDEGREE app. Payments must be made before you start your new package to hold your standing day and time. Your session will be cancelled if it has not been paid for in advance. Payments are non-refundable, and packages are not transferable. No exceptions.
ATTENDANCE:
We understand that you value your time and commitment to your fitness journey. In the event that a group class is canceled due to low enrollment, we offer an alternative solution to provide you with a personalized experience. If the class has only two participants, we will contact the attendees one hour prior to the start of the class and you have the option to upgrade to a private or duet session at a discounted rate.
This unique opportunity allows you to receive more individualized attention and guidance from our skilled instructors. The discounted rate for private or duet sessions in these circumstances reflects our commitment to offering you flexibility and a personalized approach to your Pilates practice.
To take advantage of this offer or if you have any questions regarding this policy, please contact us at goodbodypilatesstudio@gmail.com. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, as this policy not only helps maintain the quality of our group classes but also provides you with the opportunity for a more personalized Pilates experience.
CLASS LEVEL:
Register for classes that are appropriate for you and your needs. Not sure? Ask us! If Good Body Pilates Studio staff is concerned about your safety or your ability to keep up with a class, we will discuss best options with you. Please follow our staff’s advice; we’re here to make sure you progress safely and get the very best out of your Pilates experience.
CELL PHONES:
To maintain a peaceful environment for all our clients, we ask that you refrain from phone conversations and silence all electronic devices while in the studio. All phones must be silenced and left in the cubbies at the front of the studio. Phones are not permitted in the main studio area. If you need to take a call, please step outside the studio and take your call on the sidewalk to avoid disturbing others. Thank you for helping us create a calm and focused space for everyone!
FOOTWEAR:
For both hygiene and safety, grip socks are required for all Pilates sessions. You may bring your own or purchase a pair at the studio. This is not just for you, but also for hygiene and safety reasons for our instructors.
PERSONAL PILATES LOOPS:
We highly recommend personal Pilates loops for all clients. These are available for purchase at the studio or you can use a studio set. You can also purchase them at www.goodcitizenla.com and pick them up the next time you are at the studio.
TOWEL:
Please bring your own towel or reformer towel if you feel you need one. Towels will not be provided at the studio.
CLOTHING
Wear comfortable, studio-appropriate clothing that allows you to move freely. If wearing shorts, please layer fitted bike shorts underneath for added discretion.
Avoid: Clothing with long drawstrings or loose fabric that could get caught in the Reformer during movement. Please refrain from wearing any clothing with zippers, as they can leave holes in the upholstery. Necklaces should also be avoided, as they can get stuck in the hinge of your headrest. Additionally, hard hair clips can puncture or leave marks on the equipment, so we recommend using a rubber band or soft hair tie to secure your hair. Thank you for helping us protect our equipment!
PERSONAL BELONGINGS:
Good Body Pilates Studio is not responsible for damaged or stolen items. Please leave all personal items in the cubbies and do not bring to your reformer. Empty pockets of items so that they do not fall into the reformers. No food or drinks other than water are allowed in the studio. We do have Boxed Water for purchase at the studio.
CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF:
After your Pilates private, duet, or group class immediately clean up after yourself. Wipe down anything you touched and neatly put back any equipment used to where it was before you started class.
FEELING SICK:
We are sorry you are unwell. We have a 24-hour class cancellation policy. For cancellations less than 24 hours before the start of class, a class credit will be deducted from your package. Working out is not only counterproductive when you’re sick, it’s also a safety concern right now. To help protect the well-being of our community, please stay home if you feel sick, have flu-like symptoms, have been in contact with someone who has tested positive with COVID-19, or you’ve tested positive for COVID-19. This includes the instructor. If the instructor sees that during your workout you don’t seem well, they will end your session, and you will be charged for the full session.
AGE REQUIREMENTS:
Please contact the studio for approval for students under the age of 16.
CLIENT CONDUCT:
If a client has an unsatisfactory payment history or displays any form of inappropriate behavior, Good Body Pilates Studio reserves the right to terminate or deny service for an indeterminate amount of time. No refunds will be given for a studio-terminated service.
